Shannon Algeo
Hi, I’m Shannon and I am an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (AMFT), public speaker, author of Trust Your Truth, and meditation teacher. I live in Los Angeles, CA and I received my Master’s of Arts degree in Counseling Psychology from Pacifica Graduate Institute with a focus in depth psychology.
I specialize in working with clients on issues, such as strengthening self-esteem and self-confidence, perfectionism, anxiety, grief and phase of life transitions, anger management, stress navigation, trauma and resilience, setting healthy boundaries, unlearning codependency and practicing secure dependency, betrayal and self-betrayal, and healthy communication of needs.
My podcast SoulFeed features interviews with iconic cultural and spiritual leaders like Deepak Chopra, Marianne Williamson, Sonya Renee Taylor, the first Ugandan Nobel Peace Prize Nominee Victor Ochen, the first deafblind person to graduate from Harvard Law School Haben Girma, and more. I was a featured speaker at the United Nations “Yoga and the UN Culture of Peace” event and I have been invited to speak and teach at The Museum of Contemporary Art, the global non-profit (RED) founded by Bono, and Donna Karan’s Urban Zen. I will also be leading a workshop in the near future at Esalen regarding digital detox methods.
Shannon is currently accepting new clients to include adults, teens and couples.
